Stu MacKay-Smith
Director / Editor / Executive Producer
In addition to his professional work with major brands as a Director, Illustrator, Editor, Concept Artist & Creative Director in film, ads, gaming, music & print, Stu has produced & directed several indie narrative and documentary short films.
Stu began his filmmaking career in the extreme-sports action world in the late 90s, and was integral in kickstarting the Sea-to-Sky art & film community by co-founding Toad Hall Studios & Heavy Hitting HorrorFest (Canada's longest-running and rowdiest genre film festival).
His client list includes Microsoft, New Line, Warner Brothers, Adidas, Facebook, EA, Zynga, Hyundai, TED, Nissan, Transworld, Mixer, Telus, & Sony Music. He has worked with artists like Afrika Bambaataa, Seal, Dinosaur Jr, Wheatus, Slightly Stoopid, Metric, 3 Inches of Blood, Fort Knox Five, Mix Master Mike of The Beastie Boys & members of Guns & Roses.
In 2019, Stu launched 767 Productions; a post-production studio and concept art house. In 2021, Stu's short film, "Dandelion Tea" won Best Short Film and Best Ensemble Cast at VBAFF.
In 2022, he co-founded Room 228 Films and is currently developing several projects as Writer, Director, Editor and Executive Producer.

Corinne Lea
Executive Producer / Writer
Founder and CEO of The Rio Theatre, Vancouver’s award winning multimedia Independent theatre and cultural anchor of East Vancouver, Corinne is an entrepreneur and producer with over twenty years experience producing and promoting events. Working directly with distributors, she leads the team responsible for the theatre’s diverse and award winning programming.
In January 2012 Corinne Lea became well known for changing the BC laws for movie theatres throughout the Province and received a Governor General's Award for her efforts.
In 2018 she launched a successful fundraising campaign attracting support from celebrities like Kevin Smith, Ryan Reynolds and Seth Rogan. Her campaign raised $8 million to purchase the property and save the theatre from developers.
In 2022 Corinne co-founded Room 228 Films and wrote her first book entitled “Art House Confidential”, about her life and times at The Rio.
As Executive Producer, she recently completed Room 228’s first short film, ‘Tiger By The Tail’, and the comedy feature film, ‘Outrunners’. Corinne is currently developing several features & running The Rio.

Sharai Rewels
Writer / Director / Producer
With over a decade working in the film Industry both behind and in front of the camera, Sharai has honed her writing and directing skills on documentaries, music videos, short films & television.
In 2015, Sharai wrote and starred in 'The Twisted Slipper', which won a Leo Award, a Crazy 8s Film Festival prize, and was accepted into Cannes Film Festival Court Metrage Short Film Corner.
In 2016, Sharai directed 'Binary Lullaby', winning the Canon Film Challenge at Whistler Film Festival and was granted government funding for documentary work with our First People of Canada.
Her next film 'Ramshackle Blues', won People's Choice, Best Cinematography, and Best Actor awards at Heavy Hitting HorrorFest. In 2021, she won Best Screenplay at the Vancouver Badass Film Festival for 'Tiger By The Tail'.
Sharai is CEO of Amulet Media, a multimedia production company, and is co-founder of Room 288 Films. She is currently in the process of writing 'Snake in the Grass' - a feature film based on the recently completed proof-of-concept short 'Tiger By The Tail' - which she co-wrote and directed.
